Rabbi Ben Herman is the senior Rabbi at the Jericho Jewish Center in Jericho, New York. Previously he served as the Assistant Rabbi of Congregation Anshei Israel, where he grew the Religious School from 67 to 78 students, doubled the attendance of families at Shabbat dinners and created a new, innovative format for teaching B’nai Mitzvah students. At the Jericho Jewish Center, Rabbi Herman’s focus is growing the membership through engaging programming, such as Shabbat on the Beach and Friday Night Live, as well as through enhancing the Social Action and Young Family programs. Rabbi Herman earned a Bachelors Degree in History, Hebrew and Jewish Studies with Comprehesive Honors in 2005 and received Rabbinic Ordination with a Masters Degree in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2011. Rabbi Herman married Karina in June 2014, and the two of them are very excited to be New Yorkers. They welcomed daughter Ariela Shira in February 2016.
